just realised i never ended this problem lol it wasnt the earth either as when i ran a power straight from he battery it would crank.. i just got s**t with it and went and got a button from autobarn and ran a wire from battery to button then to starter motor so once the key is on the fuel pump is on give the button a press and it bridges the connection to the starter motor and battery starts first go every time..
