Hey Mate,

Ebay would be your best bet. I have seen a few on there and some go for any where up to $600-$700.

I think Ford want bout $1600 for one.

Next bet would be to go for a EF XR6 Manual. I got one for my old EF for $200 delivered.

Good luck in your search mate.

Wrong! EF and EL are not interchangable. The EF has a coil pack and the EL has gone back to a dizzy. The EF ECU has 104 pins, while the EL has 60.

The reason that makes the EF so much cheaper than an EL is the fact that the EF will only suit an EF. The EL ECU can also be used in an EA-ED.

Hi. What are you looking for one for? Is it to replace an original ECU in an EL XR6, or is it for a conversion?

You can use an Auto ECU with a couple of resistors to trick the ECU and it will work fine with a manual.

Cheers
BenJ

or you can use your existing EL ecu, if you have one, and a J3 chip with an xr manual tune loaded on it.
