I recently bought a 1995 ef xr6 and the aerial remains up even if it is on cd or the car is turned off all together. The person i bought it off has put a deck in there so i dont know if this affects it.
does anyone know how to fix up this problem or have any ides. thanks

Yeah. XRs dont have electric antennas. Mine doesnt.

I dont think premium audio was an option either.

Yes, some do - a mate of mine has an EFII futura sedan, has a factory optioned power antenna - doesn't have the half height switch, it has fitted the control module to raise and lower it, as the mid series BEM doesn't have the facility.
It also has a passenger airbag.

AS SAID,no power aerial-but can be fitted.newer systems have a power lead for it and work when the unit is switched on,up\down only,as my system.
