Maybe a quick trip to your local wrecker might prove fruitful for an original ED Ford one. They were fitted to EA/EB/ED 4 speed autos and are very good.
Attachment: cooler.JPG EF would be ok, I just thought you might like to try and find an original type They DO work well. |

While you are at it, might be worth taking the power steering cooler and fitting it to your EA, they sure do need it. I don't have a good pic of the EF/EL one but they are a longish unit and just make sure the hoses are in good condition, they could be brittle inside. |

The EB/ED one is fairly big, pretty cheap & works rather well. I've got one here, but i'm going to swap it's role from a trans cooler to a power steering cooler in my EB Ghia, as it is a T5 manual atm. Once upon a time the car was auto & this cooler was in it, i removed it when i converted to the manual.
I might have another Eb series 2 or Ed to wreck in a few days, that may have the cooler in good shape if your keen on a EB/ED one & pipes to suit. Shouldn't be too expensive to post, they are pretty thin & not very heavy. Cheers ToranaGuy
