My power antenna decided to stay up the other day. I have manually retracted it since and here is what I did:
- Removed the antenna and tested it on 12V battery. It works fine.....it goes up and down when i switch the wires ( I am glad I did this first because I thought ot was dead and was planning to get a new one). - Checked all fuses. All fine. - Radio is working fine, it is the original unit that came with my Fairmont EL. What do I do now? Is there a fuse just for the antenna? The only thing I recall that was recently done is that my mechanic ran a diagnostic test to check EL's engine by connecting a computer to the connector where the fuses are (could he have caused this issue with antenna?). |

Are you aware of a separate fuse for the antenna? Is it worth pulling this switch out and testing it? The bottom line is the antenna is not going up at all. Something went wrong when it was fully extended. |
