Hey guys, i wanna put some Leds in the car for some effects. Yeah yeah say whatever you want. But anyway i was wondering about power supply. I was thinking of running a thin power cable from the battery to a little distribution block located somewhere. Then from this distribution block i would run the leds off it to the desired location. Anyway i was wondering would i need a resistor for each LED or could i just have one 560ohm resistor before the power get to the distribution block(home made of course).

the resistance of the resister would depened on how many leds u have so it mightant be a 560ohm resister. but imo best way to do it would do a resister on each one because that way u can always add more leds and stuff like that.
i think it would look really good if done right. what type of look are u goign for? like a spot light or a glow type of thigs.

sorry i was thinking of wireing it in series yeh just do one resister in the block and wire them up in parael

If you need 4 LEDs in a row, you can put them in series with each other, without a resistor - each drops 3.4 v, so 4 x 3.4 = 13.6v, I've tested this, and works fine. You can also run 3 LEDs in series without a resistor on 12v, I've tested this also, but the life of the LEDs may be shortened by the larger operating voltage across each LED. So you do have a few options . . . .
