G,day,
I need some help,after about 15 minutes driving on high-beam they start flashing.Is this a relay on the way out or is there some other cause. Input and ideas needed.Thanks.

If you undo your coolant bottle and just move it a little without undoing the hoses you will find a silver looking relay with a purple wire i think from memory it will need replacing and should it continue you can always do what i did and thats take the relay out all together and join the wires together, mine has been like that for over a year and no problems now when on high beam.

My EF did this, there's a little fusible link underneath the coolant bottle, it has 2 wires on it, a yellow and a purple one. I removed the wires and cleaned up the contacts and fitted another fusible link from an XF, problem solved, XE-AU1 should all be the same.

The problem sounds like the circuit breaker. If your running a higher than standard wattage this usually occurs. You will need to put a higher amperage circuit breaker. Also you should not be running higher wattage globes in EF's anyway because the headlight lense is plastic and you will cause it to turn yellow. There are lights in 55W designed to give longer and brighter light beams without the extra heat created and more power used.
