does anyone know how to remove a fuel pump from an 1983 XE falcon sedan???? any insight as to how to do this would be appreciated.

Pull back the boot carpet. In the middle slightly to the left there should be a round plate held in with phillips screws. Underneath that is the fuel tank. There should be a locking ring holding in the combination fuel pump/fuel sender.

from looking at the pump, it has a hose clamp on it, and it seems near impossible to get a screw driver in there, i was once told you had to drop the tank in an XE to remove the pump?
