have they " or is it possible" to ever make a gilmer drive for ya 4ltr falcon.

i know there are kits for the 302 etc.... but for the 4.0 i doubt it.

toothed belt and pulleys, think cam/timing belt as in alot of jap motors.

are they meant to be better than the v belts?

Not necessarily, you could always supercharge the 4L and have a bit of whine under the bonnet along with a bit more grunt :wink:

but then the V8 boy's could could whack a blower out the bonnet and have more grunt and would look alot better than a supercharger on a 4.0

even if you attempted it you would have serious clearance issues. gilmer belts sap power as well, so you need to be using them in a pretty strong motor to start with.
