Hey all
if Anyone can help me I'd like that. Now I'm looking for good pistons to lower the compression in my falcon. Eb 4.0lt with turbo.... Only running 3 psi but really wanna pump more power out. So please feel free to give me some recomendations!

Stock internals are good for around 300rwkw and 13psi fairly safe in an EB-D 4L

Seeing as you asked...
We use C.P http://www.cppistons.com/
The AU agents are http://www.qri.biz/
Or if your after rods and pistons ??
We have used Spool B.A rods & C.P pistons
to fit into E series motors..
http://www.spoolimports.com/content/SPO ... ONRODS.asp
They fly cut for the 2 valve head and size piston for correct gudgeon pin
clearance. Being full floating, they are a smaller size...
This also fits A.U engines where the rod length is the same..
An oversize E.A piston on a latter E series 4.0 [ bigger bore std] works also as the dish is deeper dropping compression..
Depending on your power goals?? 9.2 comp is ok with a street car with good tune..
Will have very throttle response and little better off / on boost torque at low rpm..
Lower comp does give wider envelope / margin to tune tho...
Forged assembly is way stronger.. But bad tune WILL kill any engine...
Spool rods..

Spool rods & std rods, pistons.

Assembled..

We used ARP BA mains studs as well in AU engine.. The stud under oil pump req 10mm shortening to clear oil pump...

In the pics above am I correct in guessing they are two different rods?

Top pic is I beam rods and middle pic shows H beam rods?

Generally which would be the stronger rod?

Ey thanks everyone :)
well I just wanna be able to run at least 10 psi as a minimum. That's just for everyday street use too... But I don't want the motor to blow up in like 6 months..
I do know the standard motor can handle a fair wack of boost but as I just said I don't wanna be rebuilding the engine in 6 months time. So I'm looming for pistons to lower my compression. Not going with a decompression plate.. But I just don't know what sorta pistons to use.

Aha yea those I beams are Argo rods for my 1UZ Celica..
http://www.argorace.com.au/index.cfm?menukey=12
They are rated at 200 h.p per rod..
They are about twice the price of Spool rods for 8 of them..
