Hey all, Just got back from heathcote and ran 14.96 twice. Ran 15.1 a few times was bloody stoked when I saw the 14.96. Just thought I'd share it with you.
Only mod done to the beast is a XR8 catback.

Proof below not sure why it reads 25mph but the second time round it was 97mph

Thats a pretty good time.

If I remember correctly in the Oct 2002 wheels issue they could only get 15.2 from a BA v8 Ghia.

If you are pulling 97mph, then low 14s isnt out of the question.
Are you getting heaps of wheelspin? An LSD might be a good mod.

BA XR6Ts arnt much quicker.

low 14's definately aren't out with 97mph. LSD would drop times, I'm also assuming 4spd auto, so diff gears won't in astray!

When i was getting wheel spin i was getting 15.1, Its pritty hard to get off the line fast without wheel spin in the BA. Launching at 2000rpm - 2200rpm was ok any highier and the wheels would spin. Its hard to look at your revs and the Christmas tree at the same time. I tried with traction control on but when was half way down it revved out on 80kph and wouldn't change gear. Still had a heap of fun doing it.

That's not a bad time at all for an almost stock v8. Once my Xr8 is on the road i'd love to give it a run, and then run my Eb Ghia I6 and see the difference in times.

Cheers
