I'm not sure if anyone has done this before.
I didn't want to have a useless cd player so I made the standard headunit still work in my BA XR6... Take a look http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-FwCVWJXuU

Nah, every speaker is connected to both headunits, but only one at a time, every wire (4 speakers x2 wires) is switched through relays which are triggered with the remote output of the dvd headunit.
Which disconnects the speakers from the factory unit and connects them to the dvd player.

I also have an BA XR6 and have fitted an aftermarket dvd player but the sound is currently running through the aux input and is far from ideal.
If you have more information on how exactly you achieved this (preferably with diagrams) I would be eternally grateful. |
