G'day guys,

I have a June '98 EL Falcon with the factory Ford tow pack fitted.

I understand that the transmission cooler fitted to standard EL Falcons starts to deteriorate and break away after a while, sending pieces in to the transmission itself.

I just wanted to know whether this is only applicable to models without the factory tow pack fitted, or is it all EL Falcons that have problematic transmission coolers?

Thanks heaps!

I must be honest, I have NOT sold a new one for an EF/EL for the last 8 years and actually, never had anyone ask me for one or a PRICE for that matter. You can still buy this as a kit (much cheaper than the cooler rad itself) EF 7A095 K1T for $166.00. This gives you all the brackets and hoses you need to fit one, the cooler rad itself costs $160.00.
I was at Supercheap the other day and noticed that they had one which was all aluminium coloured and had no fittings I could see and it was $119.00.

Might be worth investing in the one that is MADE to fit :D
I am sure that John McGrath Ford could help. :)
