Ride: AUII XR8 Pursuit & EF XR6

Location: Albion Park
NSW, Australia

Mates got a EF Falcon and the gearbox is doing some weird stuff. When it is in Park or Neutral the car runs fine but when its in Reverse or any forward gears, it tries to go then stalls or it might spontaneously rev up and take off. What could this be?
