My G/F's car is a EL wagon, sometimes when sitting at idle or even driving along it develops a misfire and idles rough for no apparent reason. give it a rev and it might go away otherwise it just passes with time.
any ideas what it could be thats causing this It is LPG powered and runs even worse on petrol. Also what can be done about it sitting high in temp when the A/c is turned on and its on gas |

check the vac lines. there might be a little hole on the MAP line that opens and closes when the engine shakes

Unfortunately mate i have changed and checked all those things mentioned in this post and it has made no difference as it does exactly what your car does. Unfortunately the EF/EL have a rough idle which is intermittent and i have been advised to chip the car as they have a s**t idle which hunts and carries on. Maybe try to reset your computer by disconnecting the battery for 10 mins and reset the base idle. Might go a bit better but the chip is the way to go i reckon.
Hope that helps at all.

try giving the isc valve a good clean with carby/throttle body cleaner and a cottonbud, may help
el's also check the rotor button and dizzy cap, use genuine bosch replacements |
