WE HAVE LIIFFFEEE!!

f**k if I know what the problem was - all we did today is take of the TB again coz it still had a bit of a leak at the gasket. Put it back together and replaced that garden hose with a proper one and it still wouldnt go . . .

Now I know ya not really supposed to put ya foot to the floor when starting an injected car but we thought we would try it as well as a bit of aero start and she fired!!! YAY!!

We cleaned and flushed my radiator. Norrowed down my over heating issue to f**k thermostat, so ill replace that and change out the gearbox. Also will do my dizzy rotor and cap and new spark leads coz one melted and started arcing on the exhaust manifold thingy-ma-jig.

The idle still sits a bit high - about 1100-1200rpm so ill have a fiddle with that and get it back down to 800rpm. And the accelerator cable is sticky so ill throw a bit of WD40 on it and see if that fixes it and if not ill get a new one.

After that ill do a full service . . . all the usual s**t . . .

Then later down the track when I find the cash ill rebuild the motor and start my build thread I guess . . .

Thanks heaps to everyone for their input and advice - muchly appreciated guys :D

Cheers

Haha yeah cheers guys - pain in a** it was - sitting there for 4 months not running . . . Wildeb I knew it was most likely flooded coz of the amount of times we tryed starting it but it doesn't explain why it died in the first place . . .

Thanks again for all advice and input - hopefully this thread can help someone in the future now that might have the same problem . . . Whatever the problem was . . . .

Cheers
