First off I have a Ford 96 EF Fairmont and basicaly my idea is to have interior neons but also have the standard interior lights.

What i was thinking was to wire up the neons exactally the same as the standard lights but then have a 3 way switch before any of the lights in the system so the switch would be as follows.
1 - standard
2 - off
3 - neons

so basicaly my question is would this idea work and how would i go about doing it.

sure it would work. it would be easier to have a switch to select either lights or neons just because why would you want no lights.

You would have to cut the light for the interior light you want to turn LED.
Run a wire from that to the switch.
From the switch run 2 wires

1st wire to the original light and solder it on
2nd wire to the LED

I really only want put in three coloured lights and not worry about the roof light so basicaly one on the passenger side one drivers side and one in the back. i would also want them all off the same switch obvioously.

Thanks.
