OED666 has a Mal Wood 6spd in his ED. If you call, you will probably catch him on the other end of the line.

thouroughly recommend mal wood.
I had my box and conversion parts freighted to perth.. everything was there, did not have to modify anything and it all fitted together and installed easy.

$8000 or so, everything required to do the conversion, keep in mind the box its self is nearly $5000 worth.

a T56 is not worth $5k. I picked up a brand new one for a mate for $2400.

Mal wood kits are rather pricey but in saying that you get every nut, bolt and bracket you need to do the job, every little thing is there in the kit so you dint have to stuff around finding little bits and pieces.

they also offer a hydraulic clutch conversion for E series for around the $1500 mark.

and on top of that they are just a phone call away if you run in to any trouble installing it.

Mal Wood's kits are the easiest way to convert your car. As mentioned, on paper it may seem to be more expensive than other options but you get a kit that just works! I did it the hard way.. Bought cheap conversion kit, needed to modify pieces here and there and the gearbox was crap anyway. His kits just work!

admittedly it is expensive for the box, i could go and pick up a brand new one out of a holden for $2500, but then factor in the cost of relocating the shifter position, different shaft lengths and all the other screwing around to get it to suit my application and all that rooting around would work out about the same price anyway. its all good to buy a cheap t56 if it will suit your given application but i havent found an off the shelf one for mine yet, other than this.
oh and its priced at $4750 for the box, fitted with short throw shifter and bell housing, not just the box its self.

What is yours going into? A commodore extention housing brings the shifter up in the correct location for an E Series. Also, for $2400, I got a brand new XR6T T56 complete.
