what should i be looking for to then tell u about?
i know i have stock 3.45 dif gears thats it, thats all i know about my diff

they would be fomoco gears
why do u need to know anyway? if u want to confirm what brand it is, take the back cover plate off the diff and wipe down the crownwheel and it will say something like 11/38, 11 teeth to the pinion gear, 38 teeth to the crownwheel, and may have 3.45 stamped into it too and most likely will have a ford part number and maybe b/w (borgwarner)

well i was told that depending on the diff i have to get 3.7's put in i will either have to buy cheap pintara diff or new richmond gears
is there a tag or some numbers i should be looking for in order to see what 3.7's i can put in

think a housing/centre at upi eliz is about $150, or cheaper for just gears if u strip them out the housing there

depending on where you get it from??, whole diff. about $100-300?? but you only need the gears as the diff wont actually bolt into the falcon..
so you will probably pay from $80 - 150 just for the gears... but like i said depending on where you get them from?? some wreckers see them as junk and will sell the diff cheap, but a diff place might charge you $250 for the gears if they have them... |
