they would be fomoco gears

why do u need to know anyway?

if u want to confirm what brand it is, take the back cover plate off the diff and wipe down the crownwheel and it will say something like 11/38, 11 teeth to the pinion gear, 38 teeth to the crownwheel, and may have 3.45 stamped into it too
and most likely will have a ford part number and maybe b/w (borgwarner)

well i was told that depending on the diff i have to get 3.7's put in i will either have to buy cheap pintara diff or new richmond gears

is there a tag or some numbers i should be looking for in order to see what 3.7's i can put in

pintara gears are from a rwd nissan pintara which are 3.89,..
nissan r31 skyline have 3.7.. and both of these cars have borgwarner diffs, meaning the gears can be used in falcons..
if you remove the diff cover on the pintara or skyline and stamped on the ring gear will be the ratio and a number like bw78, meaning its 78 series and will fitt into eb2 onwards falcon

richmond gear sets are an aftermarket gear sets that can be purchased as new replacements, at about $650 for the gear set your better off chasing second hand ones..

depending on where you get it from??, whole diff. about $100-300?? but you only need the gears as the diff wont actually bolt into the falcon..

so you will probably pay from $80 - 150 just for the gears...

but like i said depending on where you get them from?? some wreckers see them as junk and will sell the diff cheap, but a diff place might charge you $250 for the gears if they have them...
