Hi guys, I have just got my hands on a factory bluetooth kit from FTGAS and am in the process of installing it to my 2007 BF mk2 Typhoon. I'm unsure where the microphone is placed by ford and really want it in the original spot as i dont want to install it and find that its not picking up my voice well enough. Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Gill

Thanks mate, I didn't realise that. I thought they were hidden somewhere. So they just run the mic up under the plastic trim along the windscreen the it is stuck at the end somewhere where it is visible? A photo would really help me, it is for a good cause, me not going insane haha.

if you are careful, you can put the cable under the 'A" pillar cover.

While you are at it-fit the ipod connector kit.It is associated with the bluetooth and in similar position.

What exactly is the "A" pillar cover?

Thanks for the tip kwaussie, I actually had that iphone kit delivered today! Well, i missed the postman and now its gone to the post office but my hours are late so i cant get it for a few days, craaaap.

I actually installed the bluetooth already and it works fine but my only queries were the mic position and ALSO the black box that obviously contains all the bluetooth stuff is just cable tied in behind my fuse box at the moment because I couldn't find where it actually screwed in securely. The screw holes don't look like they were used to fasten it to anything in the old car it was in either, so I wasn't too worried but if someone knows that would be great.

The pillar that holds the windscreen,to the front right of the driving position. It has a plastic cover, and perhaps in your case,an airbag. No screws for the black box, only sticky pads.keep in touch, and I will attempt to assist you.

Oh ok cool well i guess its in a good enough place as it is. Yes there is an airbag in there so ill probably just leave the mic where it is since it seems to work good enough already. Thanks for the help :)
