just that or extractors and cat? both of those things make diffrence to the note very much so oh and a cam

exhuast tips make a diffrence such as mine is a dump pipe which resonates the noise from the road making it louder and deeper

for example i had a small hole in my ehxuast pipe between two connectors when it was at idle it made a whipping sound when i flawed it it sounded more like an old style areoplane

well, mines an AU forte 4L engine, with a T5. superct extractors, new cat(not high flow) and a supercat 2 1/2" exhaust. press bent mild steel. has 1 straight through centre muffler and the resonator removed.

It has a very angry not from 2000 -5500rpm. but the good thing is, under 2000. Its very quiet.

I used to have an XA panel van with extractors & twin exhausts. It was loud but sounded like a smallblock V8. I don't think the mufflers were working properly though.

I've seen a few EF/ELs with twin exhausts.

Different brands and models of mufflers have various effects. Personally I don't reckon you can go past Lukey for their mufflers.
Likewise does the material they're made out of. E.g. stainless steel or mild etc.

You can only go so far with a 6 cylinder, it will never growl like a v8, and you have to remember that before spending a lot of time and money on an exhaust like I did. I ended up with pacemaker 4499's, a ballistic 100cpsi cat and a redback 2.5in single muffler cat back. I think I went too far because at low revs it sounds like a ricer 4 cylinder, up higher revs it sounds good but around town it sounds like theres just too much flow and its echoing.
