For some reason my interior is a haven for rattles...

There's rattles coming from EVERYWHERE

And on top of that it just seems loud in there. Road noise and wind noise...

IT DRIVES ME MAD!!! :x

Anyone able to offer suggestions?

I'm thinking a few of the following... Pull the entire interior to pieces and GLUE everything back together :D or go to town with sound deadener

I'm sure I'm not the only one to have encountered this...

Dynamat, (and dynaliner for the floor)
FOAM. Foam is great for everything. You have a rattly ash tray? Get a small line of foam (weather stripping/speaker gasket stuff works great) and stick it to the lip at the bottom. Stopped all rattles from that for me.

Foam will tighten everything up and adsorb movement and sound. Much better than glue since you can never get if off and out..

Anyone recommend a good alternative to Dynamat? It's bloody expensive stuff.

Jaycar sells stuff that looks identical if not better...

Hey dude try this stuff if you havent already.

s**t loads of silicone in between the boot skin and frame. And hood. Take of the interior door panels off and make sure the factory sound dedener is still there. Tighten any screw you can find in the interior. Any small gaps will most likely rattle so stuff it with foam. And put a massive bit of foam inbetween the number plates and the car. Take off any number plate covers, Tighten the tailights, get a new rear view mirror. Bail on your spolier if you got one. Make sure all of the clips on the interior door panels are 100%, i would personally buy all new ones. And tighten the arm rest screws on the door trim and any other bolts to hold it.

Yeah....................I think that about covers it.

Jaycar stuffs meant to be better value for money than Dynamat, I'd use it.

Hey 60 dollar Chinese tyres are better value than good bridgestone/dunlop tyres. Does that mean they are better over all? No..

I dont even think the Jaycar stuff has adhesive with it. Go to MEA and see if anyone there recommends anything but Dynamat. The only alternative is a really cheap roofing insulation that is self adhesive. Not as good as Dynamat but cheap enough to justify it.

+1 for Dynamat. It may be expensive but it's good s**t.

I used Dynamat Xtreme in my EF to get rid of the rattles in the bootlid, front doors and parcel shelf along with bits of foam to fill in the bigger gaps. Also used sikaflex/silicon to fill any gaps between bracing. It's amazing how much more solid the panels feel after it is applied, less road noise and you get much cleaner sound from your sound system too without the panel vibrations. Sound deaden the entire inside of the car (floor, roof, doors, parcel shelf, bootlid, boot floor and wheel well etc) and you will have one very quiet ride

Dynamat seems to be the way to go...

But damn it's expensive! Worth it if it works I guess...

How much would I need if I wanted to go to town with the stuff?

Boot, floor, roof, doors, the whole 9 yards

They sell that extreme pack or whatever it is for $220 posted... How much would that get done?
