Gday guys,
My trimming has been weathered pretty bad, has cracked and the rubber/pain has been peeling (See pics below, sorry theyre s**t was taken by phone). Who has restored these back to normal and how did you go about it? Pictures and as much information possible would be awesome. Had to start a new topic about the trimming around the windows/doors fading and cracking. I did see a topic posted before but I cant find it for the life of me.

I did one side of the car the other day, few runs so ill get some 1200 sand paper on it and smooth it before another coat. But it makes a huge difference to the side profile of the car. I used the same paint as dsyfer and it looks good.

Unless you have balls of steel, don't bother doing it in the open air. You need a garage or sheltered area at the least.
Mine turned out rubbish because the masking take was on the rubber by a mm, and when i peeled it off the paint went with it. Precision accuracy is required when laying the tape, and probably best to leave the tape on for 3-4 days after you paint it, then remove it. I'll be doing mine again when i get a chance.
