I had my input shaft replaced last year (along with getting the whole box reco'd). It was $4XX for a new input shaft alone - I can't remember the exact price. I paid $1375 all up for the work done to my manual box. To be honest, while I am happy with knowing that everything is nice and new in the box and I have warranty on it, if I knew it was going to cost that much I would have bought a complete second hand box and installed it myself.
