Hi guys and gals.
As some of you would know I have recently put an EL box into my AU. Going good apart from a bit of a clunk when it goes from first to second.
My new problem is kinda strange. I was driving to work today, cruise control on doing 100k and all of a sudden the speedo went nuts.
Almost seemed to be bouncing from 0 to 140 on the clock.
When I got off the freeway and slowed to 60 it was fine. Then I hit an 80 zone and it did it again. Bouncing from about 15 to 110 this time, then coming back to normal once I hit the 60 zone.
When I left work at 10:30 I was waiting for the entertainment again but it didn't do it.
I assume the speedo is electronic due to the fact that I didn't fit a speedo cable when I put the box in.
Any ideas from you legends out there that are always able to help me with my dramas.

u can put your old au sender unit into the new el box
its only 1 bolt that holds it in, passenger side rear of trans.(usually a red cover over the wiring)

+1 for speedo sensor, common problem, my NL does it sometimes, will replaced sender next time i put my car on hoist at work ..
