I have a problem with xd falcon doors, when doors are closed on the 3 or 4 time they lock themselves.
I have obtain a new springs, that I think is the problem, but they have no fitting instructions nor do I have another door to check against, Gregory,s manual does not have exploded view of the mechanism. The springs are basically boomarang in shape with off set arms. I have taken the plastic covers off the locks [ inside the the door ] and can only see 1 hole to attach the spring but just cant see where the other holding point is. Until this is fixed I cannot get car inspected as it is deemed unroadworthy. After 2 years this is all that is stopping getting it on the road.

is this the problem thexd-xf get , u shut the door and the door lock knob comes down 5mm, just enough so u cant open it?
u can only open it whilst u have the key in the lock and in the unlock position?

Hi, after spending the morning on the car I removed the entire guts of the door and was able to see and rectify the problem. Once out of the door, I could see the second hole, it is fidderly and frustrating but it is fixed and works correctly. Thankyou for your reply
