G'day Nick,
You'll find that just about any exhaust gasket will fit because they are usually a fair bit bigger than the actual stock exhaust port opening. I used a stock Felpro header gasket on my Y303 heads which, you'll see I used in the "351W into XE" post at the top of the V8 Forum. The expanded metal gaskets that most exhaust shops have are large enough for just about any std bolt pattern windsor exhaust too. Pete. |

Hi Pete, I,am trying to match port the heads to exhaust pipes and are finding there isn't enough of the gasget left on the botton edge and they burn through

Felpro do a large exhaust gasket, i dont have the part no, but when i put the difillipo's on mine, the stock gaskets shrouded about a third of the port. The Felpro one fixed this.

From the Felpro book -
Standard exh header gasket - port size - 1.05" x 1.35" - p/n 1467. Small race exh header gasket - port size - 1.25" x 1.48" - p/n 1415. Hope that helps.

the y303's are an aluminum gt40p. Pretty much same casting and marginally better flow. Well that's what i came to when researching them as a possibility for my engine.
