on that page they show the wiring for diffrent model's, on the el they say to use wires from ecu ( 57,38) but ef and au use 71 and 81 on the shiftkit website they use 71,81 for all ef,el,au's any idea on why this may be diffrent? im trying to do one of these to my el's today and would be good to know which wires i should be intercepting with

EL ecu only go up to 60 pin for a start.

now when i look at the diagram i see that the red and green wires( lines) on the diagrams just head down where do they connect?
do they connet to the wires leaving the ecu?

You do not need or have to worry about where they go, they dissapear into the depths of the car never to be seen again.
They are the wires leaving the ECU. |

57 you tap into and 38 you cut?

i cant find 38 numbered any where but im guessing its the thick green one that if i count back wards from the visable 41 i can see

well its up and running but i cant notice much of a diffrence, no chirping, no wheel spin, mabye its in my head i reckon it changes gears faster and sooner than before
also it says to use a 6pole switch when i asked for one at jaycar the guy looked at me strange and said dont have one only goes up to 4 and i the ones howed on these diagrams seem to be 2pole switches
