Ok fella's,
Well I've been thinking of what transmission to use for my 408ci turbo windsor. If manual i want to go with either a T56 or a tremec Tko box. if auto, either a built C4 or power glide. As this won't be all out power/speed based, I'm not looking for an insanely quick ET. I would really like to go manual. just afew questions.. can the t56 or tko box be bolted up to a modified t5 v8 bellhousing?!? I realise it will also have to be modified for the Hydraulic clutch assembly as well. I'm still undecided whether the 5 or 6 speed will be the way to go.. any input would be much appreciated.. cheers.

check {DESCRIPTION} out.
basic gist of it, Mal Wood does a bellhousing to fit a BA-BF 4L T56 to a 5L. common, easily available 'box (and not too expensive) that has been proven to handle a bit of power and has numerous upgrades available aftermarket to strengthen it up if needed. i'd lean that way over the TKO, just because the T56s are more readily available here in Aus.

The box itself is $3250 (TKO 500) or $3350 (TKO 600) ( prices for the tko boxes )
looking at the T56 option is has to be a 6cyl box and i have to change the bellhousing ($880.) So it's not too bad.. so now all i have to do is find a 6cyl t56..
