Hi every one

I was seaching arould on ebay yesterday and i found universal lambo doors. The kit was under $100 and i thought this is to good to be true for exterior mods. Just woundering has any one done this to there ford or dose any one know the pain you have to go through to put these on any car.

Cheers

link to kit?
sounds dodgy considering what those kind of 'generic' kits go for.

normally you need some kinda hard core hinge/bracket and strut setup to hold it all up.
with changes to the latch mechanism.

personally i'd leave them for the lamborghini owners
dont think it'd look right on a 4 door car either, maybe u could do suicide lambo hinges on the back doors so they all open out to the front and rear of the car, and reverse hinge the bonnet and bootlid while u are at it , same seller does kits for them too....

seriously if u are keen, next time u are down the autosalon, ask one of the owners where they got theirs done

this is one of the kits. But this is not the price i saw and the other one was bolt on not weld. I can weld but there something about puting a blow tourch to my baby just dose not feel right. and if i were to do this i would only do it to the front.

its $100 with time to go... so it won't end up costing $100.

I wouldn't say I'm in or out of them. I just can't stand lambo doors on 4 door salons on sleek sports cars they are fine hell they would be so easy in tight car parks etc

but meh.

To much fabrication is needed to make them work properly

yeh you pay $100 for a cheap kit, then $$$k's for installation.
Then 3 months down the track the cheap little hinges you bought from ebay crack through and you end up with a door on the track.
I looked into for my EF XR8 back in the day when a friend put em onto his Supra, I found a good quality kit for $1200 with everything included ie - lift rams etc etc. Just too much cost in the fab work and install if your not doing it yourself... which I wouldnt recommend seeing as though you are posting it up in here. But as mentioned before, go check out AutoSalon or something and chat to the owners. They are usually more than willing to lend an ear.
