Ive got a AUII on factory LPG auto, just wondering if anyone can help guide me in the rite direction to increase the low end power and torque and minimize the cost. Car is pretty much stock. any advise would be useful

The low end torque should already be there on LPG. Get a good LPG tune and bigger intake snorkel. Make sure leads and plugs are fresh. Old ones zap power and lose economy.

I run NGK plugs, the one the parts book says for my EB on LPG, can't remember the part number tho. I also run IC & E gas ignition leads. Had lots of lead issues before them, none since. They have out lasted any other leads i've had by more than 2 years, and they are still going strong!

when you say 'lead' issues, what are you referring to?
i had some 8mm ice leads on mine when i bought it, but changed to bosch normals last year some time and had no issues on either leads.
also what difference did the plugs make?
im keen to try and get stuff right lol

Plugs made it run smoother on LPG.

Lead issues, i mean break down of the leads. I found top gun, champion, bosch & motorcraft leads all broke down on my engine & didn't transmit the spark properly after anywhere between 3 to 9 mths after first fitting them. Tested them with a multimeter & most of them end up too out of resistance spec. I test the IC & E leads every time i change the spark plugs - no issues yet. Well worth the money.

The main thing I found that increased bottom end power/torque was changing the cam in my old AUII EGAS ute.

Albeit along with intake and exhaust mods to compliment the cam as well.

Also as mentioned for cleaner spark I used better leads in ... and for spark plugs ... I tried many ... but in the end used standard NGKs gapped down to 0.8mm ... did the same as the Iridiums ... I'd get 20-25,000km from them instead of about 100,000km from the Iridiums ... but for the cost saving ... it was still cheaper to use stock plugs and change them often.

I was running a CMS Stg 2 cam in mine. With different lobe separation for LPG.
Joe created it and I Guinea pigged it ... ran a treat ... MUCH better than stock that's for sure.

I am sure Joe has one now suited better for Autos as well now.

I run standard plugs on my EL on gas. It runs perfect on both, some people need to try the colder plugs though due to detonation.

Get some extractors and an exhaust, should give a few more kw's down low

what ever happens to leads? i mean i know they do eventually die, but they do not move :)

also, check your leads before throwing them out, if they give a reading of 12ohms or less, they are fine :)

I knew nothing about plugs besides poorly communicated rumours til i read that article like 3 times!

Bosch Motorsport Leads (the blue ones) and a set of Bosch xr6 plugs gapped down to 0.8mm seem to do the trick for me.
