I am considering buying a Tickford dual fuel ECU (catch-code: WTJC) from an AU1 falcon for my AU1 fairmont. I am having it fitted with aftermarket LPG soon.
My only concern is that 'stepping down' from my fairmont ECU to a falcon ECU might somehow affect some of the fairmont features i.e cruise control. Intuitively I think that there would be no issues other than wiring, for which I presume a diagram would be available somewhere. Can anybody shed any light on this? |

My fairmont is Smartlock equipped - date of manufacture is March 1999
I looked at the ECU and got some more information also. Catch code: WTJC Part #: WR2T 12A650 JC Module ID: ETV-712 I cannot find this unit in the AFF AU falcon ECU database. |

Is it a Ghia? that might be a Tickford ECU.

Sorry for any confusion - the ECU details above are for the dual fuel-ECU, not the one in my fairmont.
Yes, the dual fuel ECU is a Tickford unit. I have heard however that even though they are a Tickford unit the petrol mapping is standard stuff and not specific for Tickford engines. |
