Ride: Ba XR8

Location: Canberra City
ACT, Australia

I had this issue a few months ago. given that my ef wasn't as nice as yours however I had planned to do it up for show and go...

I'm now selling it and have bought a BA XR8 {DESCRIPTION}

first off I know the 6t is faster but I wanted an XR8... Just one of the things on the list that I wouldn't change. Things on my the list were prem sound, Leather, and mags... but most of all it had to be an 8 and it had to be black... she has all that and more. Inc A front brake upgrade, and exhaust and she is very straight.... only minor marks on the bonnet everything else is fantastic.

I only paid 16.5k for her... the guy had 18k on it. I must admit I waited a long time to find the exact one I wanted but now I have it...

I have borrowed money to do up a car before and I did enjoy it however I'm glad the car is sold and I'm where I am now... All the debt is gone and I'm very happy with the new one.

One thing more important than what you spend it on would be make sure it is fully insured!! - I had a ZD that Street Machine wanted to do a shoot on, but i said wait till I get the trim done, during that time it was off the road gutted I was borrowing sisters car for work, cutting a lng story short she re-nigged i took mine while insurance was lapsed got hit by an un-insured single mothers pensioner who knew the copper who arrived, no photo shoot no money no joy!

I know lots of people are talking drivetrain power increase, but have you considered legalities of what you can actually do? I know, pollution laws are boring as batshyte etc etc but personally I'd hate to spend this much money only to get it defected off the road. If I was going to spend this kind of $$$$$$$$$$$ on mods at least do your research and make it legal - too many post 74 cars get modified to death with absolutely no thought to legality. Personally I don't care about the legal side of things - but the cops sure as hell do - depending on where you live you might also need to have roadworthy inspections too. One of the major reasons I drive a pre 73 car is so I don't have to worry about this crap when doing engine mods....
