Hi,
Recently got a 92 EB, it's only done 130,000 and was well looked after (was my mates). Today I was driving, and i went to do a U turn, while idling it was like it was about to stall, the RPMS were dropping, so I gave it a bit of a rev but still happened. I did the U-turn and I'm fairly sure it was missfiring as I was pretty much flat and it was going nowhere, after about 5 seconds of it being gutless it went good again. I went to my mates house and we checked the spark plugs which all looked good, as were not very good with cars we didn't really know what else to check or do haha. I recently drove it then and both times when i was going about 20 kmh's I floored it which resulted in a backfire. Hopefully it's nothing to serious >.< Any help guys? Thanks.

Wet air filter, or if the engine bay was washed recently some wetness in the dizzy.

Can the timing just randomly get kicked out or? Because nothing has changed. Yeah I was actually going to change the O2 sensor, MAP sensor unit where would that be located? sorry don't know a great deal lol.
EDIT: My father said it might be dirty fuel as it's only started happening when I fueled up with Shell V-Power, I have pretty much ran the tank empty, fueled up with the 91 stuff. It did do it this morning though, unless it's on its last legs of V-Power?

Cheers XRfairmont67, I'll check that when I get home from work.
ford-racer46, alrighty I'll have a look at that. I am planning on getting a new O2 sensor after work and replacing it, I have been getting pretty bad fuel economy. Thanks guys. EDIT: Replaced O2 Sensor, still does it. Really pissing me off

hiya, glad its fixed, I've seen the SAME problem in a e-series before, doing a u-turn. turns out it was the power steering switch and ISC not working!
