yeah, i called them and they quoted about $500. but the gas guys are able to get another one a lot cheaper. Cheers anyway cause im not going to pay $500 for just one small computer due to one resistor being burnt out

have you tried an Electronic Service mob?
You dont need the LCS-1 - its just a single servo controller. Most of the other ones for Mixer Rings should work then. Its only an issue if you have the LCS-2 - that has 2 servo's. As a bonus the others are easier to program too. Nigel |

i asked them the same question. do you know of tuggerah automotive? they use to be next to booths hyundai but are now behind the takeaway at the end of gavenlock road. well anyways i said "cant you just replace the resistor?", then got a reply "it isnt possible as the circuit board also has some problems" yet before i gave the car to them ONLY to put a new switch in, everything was working as it should, car goes over 2000RPM, gas kicks in but then i got a call "G'day there, i was putting in the new switch and the power wasnt going into the switch itself and the gas board was fried (what a load of s**t followed by) but we have a spare one we hooked up and tested it to make sure it worked and it did so a replacement computer will cost $500". i then had to say, "look, ill have to call you back about it". hung up and then today, went down to ask about it and they said they can get one from sydney for $150 and then install it. so sometime in two weeks its going back down

being an LCS1 - you may want to get it on the Landi Tool (forgot what its called) and get any settings off it before you switch over - will make installing the new computer much easier.
I have the software for DOS here... doesnt run on windows (kinda sorta... dosbox ) but you also need the programming cable to do it yourself. Nigel |

Nope... Its on my Workshop Laptop. You'll need to have DOSEMU set up as well so that Windows gives the program a real com port or it wont work as well.
I'll see if I can get it off over the next few days. To be honest though - the cable isnt worth the money on an older system. It does happen that its the same cable as the Landi Vapour Injection setup, and also the Eurogas LPG ECU as well. If you know your getting that later that would be worthwhile Most workshops use a handheld programmer - much easier Nigel |
