hi all,

this morning when starting the car all the electrics went crazy and the display panel lights were very bright than normal.....and the battery started hissing and water came from the top of the battery, then I shut off the engine and after for a few minutes drove around for afew more minutes and white smoke seems to of come from the alternator, very bad smell, also my radio back light does not turn off even if i turn the car off and fuse is out?!? does this mean my alternator needs to be replaced? is it easy to install an alternator?

thanks, so is it just the 2? bolts that need to be taken off than just fit the new one in? thats it?

Disconnect the battery first.
