I know this has been covered a few times, but mostly in regards to the six cylinder, but where should the needle be sitting on the EF/EL temp guage with the V8?
Mine sits between the L and the bar, which if anything like my previous six cyl EL, its a bit low? (which sat around the A)

I had put in a new thermostat when I just bought it, but cant remember what temp rating it was.
I cant tell you what the running temp was prior to the new thermostat, as at time the radiator was leaking/blocked, thermo fans were intermittant so the guage was all over the place.

Red line is approx running temp (not my dash though)

In my EF XR8 mine sits about that mark when moving, nudges up a bit when stationary

So what is the operating temp reading when the dash is in diagnostic mode ??
