just wondering about the early autos ea to ed are they very dependent on there auto ecus?
and also how easy are they to make the shift harder cheaply can you do the risiter trick like the later efs and els cheers kelv

Yeah you can use shiftkits like the later E-series unless you're referring to an EAI, which has a 3spd Borg Warner gearbox and isn't controlled by a computer, so you won't be able to use the shiftkit with that one.
I've heard that EAII abd EBI 6 cylinders use a TCM (Transmission Control Module) so the wires you'll need to intercept may be different to ECU-controlled versions. Another thing to note is that the EF uses a different ECU wiring loom, is has a num,ber of extra pins over the EA-ED and EL, so if you're following a guide to wire up the shiftkit you may get the wrong wires. thanks for all that mate
its just an ea s pack id love manual again but it in the ef now so i just want a bombed up auto so i can use it as a paddock basher while i have no liscense haha
