Hi Guys,

We have been having an ongoing problem with the Territory. Usually it only happens when first started. The throttle doesn't respond and the engine chugs and runs rough as guts. I have had it twice to the Ford dealers under warranty and they found nothing wrong of course. Now it's just out of warranty and has been ok for a couple of weeks. I don't know if they fixed it by accident while checking things? loose plug perhaps?....
I seemed to trigger it off a couple of times by going into reverse. EG parking manouvers etc.
I am not sure whether it is the sensor side (pedal) or the throttle motor side causing this issue.

any thoughts or experiences?

Oh yes I forgot to say I have managed to fix it by turning the engine off and re-starting again. Bloody frustrating in the middle of an intersection.

cheers,

Richard
