Hi Guys,

I had a faulty brake booster so I removed the master cylinder and brake booster. Replaced the booster and noticed a crack in the master cylinder so replaced that as well. As to be expected I got air in the ABS module, borrowed a mates scan tool and cycled the ABS pump while bleeding.

Now I have a firm pedal.... too firm. I can't push it down at all and the brakes are stuck on. If I release some of the pressure (ie open the bleed nipple on a calliper) and then top it up the brakes work (although they still seem to be on a little bit). Then gradually they will become firmer and firmer until they are just stuck on.

Can anyone assist? Dodgy master cylinder or ABS??

I removed the vacume plug from the booster and it didn't help.

Looks like its the new brake booster. It is adjusted too far forward, anyone know how to adjust it down?

There is an 8mm bolt on the front of it but the piston spins when I try to tighten it. Any specific way to do it? I know it can be adjusted but my service manual doesn't tell me how.

What ended up being the culprit?? I have the exact same problem?

You will need to adjust the brake booster (take the master cylinder off and tighten the 8mm nut all the way down). For me, after I did this it improved but was still not enough, dodgy booster!#@@#$ So in order to fix it I put two 2mm spacers and done!
