$280 fitted is good, I payed $200 and I had to fit it myself for my old EF Mont. I'm looking at around $1400 for a catback for my XR8  Then Headers + Cats on top of that....

Twin 2.25" mandrell bent with an X Pipe, 2 mufflers. all custom. The only off the shelf twin for an AU with IRS is the $3100 DiFillipo system, which is twin 2.5".

s**t aye lol. Surely there must be someone with an aftermarket system off the shelf? its not like AU XR8s are that rare ?
That'd be a lot cheaper if you went to a single 3" pipe too though.

Been there, done that, I want a twin system. AFAIL no one apart from DiFillipo make an off the shelf twin system. Single 3" is common as dogs balls though.

AFAIL lol.

Twin 2.25s would be the go for sure, but sometimes you've gotta weigh up the gains vs $$... having said that... I now wanna see a twin system on your XR!

Gain vs $$$ is dependant on what gain you want. I want note + torque. I'm actually tempted to build my own twin system.....

LOL at AFAIL, Beer + Internet = AFAIL......

When searching for a second hand exhaust/extractor combo it doesnt have to be off an AU...
EA-AU Sixes all use the same Exhaust/Extractors......

I personally dont buy that whole "gas flow slows down after X diameter" but 3 inch on a non turbo car would be overkill, most of us run a single 2.5inch in the I6.

There's nothing to buy about it. It is physics. How do you think exhaust systems/headers are designed?

And not going to open a can of worms, but while 2.5in will suit the level of modification for most people 3in may not be overkill (depending of c o a r s e upon desired peak torque range). If more people got intake/exhaust systems to suit their application there would be a lot more falcons under 14.5 or even 14.0 than stuck between 14.5-15.0.
