Does anyone know the rms per channel output for the front amp in a 1993 Nc fairlane ltd? The original speakers did not have output on the back of them and I want to organise fronts to suit amp output. Also With the rear amp, Would it hurt the amp if I ran 1/3 and 2/4 channels together for rear speakers until I get my Splits as 1/2 has low pass filter built in and 3/4 has high pass built into the amp?

Ive got Pioneer 190watt pmpo's in at the moment but they overshadow the Alpine original tweeters in the dash. Thats why I was asking as its a shame as the Alpines have a great sound. The Pioneers are 3 ways though so maybe with 2 ways as you said it wont hit the same frequency and volume wont matter as much. Will try some 2 ways or maybe dual cones with a strong magnet for good bass response.

What the f**k guys????? Am I missing something? The reason I am asking info on the stock amps is I dont want some C**k sucking doof doof coffin that show off how small my d**k is to all the pretty girls but to obtain a nice, lean crisp sound without spending a s**t of dosh. The amps are there factory fitted, so why not use them? Quality??? They are made by Alpine, so thats not too bad. Or is it that my thread is being used to continue an arguement that happened in another thread?

{USERNAME} wrote: What the f**k guys????? Am I missing something? Yea it started in another thread sorry mate. With the speakers you got, the 3 ways, have fairly useless tweeters. If you send them to the back as rear fill and get some components with external crossovers and replace the factory alpine tweeters then you will get a much more even and nicer sound. I suggest running new wires as well. On the subject of the factory amps I cant comment as I know nothing about them sorry. {USERNAME} wrote: without spending a s**t of dosh. What is your budget? This isn't to be a wanker, sorry if it comes off as such but the 3-4-5 way speakers that pioneer kenwood etc have are really useless. If you look at the great home theater speakers they are all 2/3 way setups with an external sub. This is what most would consider a component set up. This is what would traditionally be called a 3 way system, 3 independent drivers. While you can get coaxial speakers, generally the tweeters are never as good as the components and the crossovers (what split the high and low frequencies) are much better in components as there is more room for them to be mounted. |

What you are asking about the amp output for the front speakers, just get the front speakers and see if they are loud enough. If anything the factory amp wont be powerful enough to get them to their potential but it should be fine for now. What your asking about the rear amp seems iffy, not really sure how it would react without testing it. |
