I've got a NF 5.0lt with 18' tyres (245/40/18's) all round but the buggar gets pulled all over the road when there is ruts and stuff - being new to these models it reminds me of XY era cars once the idler arm was shot. I've replaced wheel bearings, all ball joints, have bought tie rod ends and rack ends - yet to be fitted, I went to specialist front end mob and they reckon that camber was pretty good and not to bother buying adjustable camber kits but I just did, can anyone recommend settings or a decent front end place! It's driving me nuts! :x

I have had a few problems like that with my EF, I had a wheel alignment done and it was perfect then I got 2 new Tyres put on the front and it was just all over the place, I changed ball joints, wheel bearings, tie rod ends and rack ends, But I did find that a Decent Wheel alignment was the answer, Theres to many Idiots that have no idea what they are doing when it comes to something so simple Like a wheel alignment, but yet again I am on the sunshine coast and half the people around here are asleep. I got my car back from a steering place 2 weeks ago and all the front wheel nuts were 1 turn loose and I thought i had busted wheel bearings, Was pretty scary :(

on the camber kit on the xr8 and the df ltd the best i got was -1 deg. on both sides, the reason i cant get any better is the screws are to short and 20mm of shims on each upper arm.i rang the owner of Noltec\nolathane\whiteline and spoke of my concerns at -1 deg.and he recons it will be fine on normal road driving.but will wear tyres if you drive alot of round abouts-this came up in melbourne cabs wearing tyres.so far it seems ok on my tyres as i drive highways and a few round abouts.i run 17x8s on the xr8 and 15s on the df,check the upper inner bushes-but knock the ball joint out.then you can check the ball joints and the upper arm.i rebushed the xr8 and in the process of doing the df,but i bought a spare k-frame and i weld a 6mm skid plate to the back end for speed humps, rebush with ford and nolathane bushes.try the upper first for play and then ball joints and lower arm bush inner.is the k-framebeaten up and creased from speed humps?
