The only time I ever notice a change over is as I leave my place, I drive up a fairly steep hill, right at the top is a stop sign and I turn right. Well when I'm going through that right, it is always the place it switches over. It just hesitates for a bit then off it goes. Worse in the winter months though. ah so it always starts on pet and runs that way for a little before going over to lpg....my vapour system will start on lpg but i usually start and switch immediately

I can set my EasyJet system to start on LPG, but it's not a great idea in the colder months, the car is very sluggish until it starts to warm up. If it starts on petrol it will idle on petrol until you rev it past a set parameter in the ECU, which i have set to 2500rpm, then it will switch over to LPG. It can also avoid switch over if the coolant temp is below a certain variable you can set as well, eg 30deg C.
I can p***y foot around in the mornings on Petrol keeping under 2500 so it can warm up while driving a bit. I have thermo's in the EB so it warms up pretty quickly even when moving. My system seems to max out at about 4500rpm, and i wish it could switch back to petrol automatically. Most LPG ECU's can run anything from 4-8cyl's, depending on the wiring loom. I've been thinking about getting 2 more injectors & wiring them up, but i don't know if the LPG reg can flow enough to feed them anyway! Cheers ToranaGuy

Only trouble is you need to buy an 'engineers key' to unlock all the really cool stuff.. ie maps. They cost a couple hundred when I last looked. Other vendors may differ. I just had a look at the latest version, this is interesting..

Yeah, the OMVL Dream XXI software is as good as it has ever been. The great thing is that you can set the system so that it injects a little bit of petrol at the high revs so that you can avoid leaning out from reaching the limit of injector flow. Effectively, you'll be running on LPG all the way to the redline with petrol supplementation.
Regards, Dave

That is really cool, and i wish my system could do that, it would solve my high rpm lean out issues.

Wouldn't mind buying 1 of these kits from ebay, just not sure yet. Cost would be about 1g or just over, was it hard to install??

The system I got is cheap.
If I gain power on gas and have no loss on petrol, then I will be happy. This system will soon be fitted to my wagon as a tow car.

I too would like to know how it runs, as I've had a crazy idea to fit a LPG injection setup (like off ebay) to my mighty boy when i turbo it, and possibly run it off the megasquirt ecu.
Cheers ToranaGuy

Bit of a shame the Ebay JX Autogas kits have had some negative comments on the forum - albeit by those who've not installed and tested them.
I've already commented on my experiences here some time ago - and as time goes on, I'll see how reliability stacks up.
