My voltage regulator is dodgy in my eb xr8 and i have rang around for just the regulator and i can only get a genuine one which is $450 so my question is does a 6 cyclinder votage 1 fit or they different and also is there an aftermarket 1 avaliable

It's completely different alternator.
I'd go get an EF-L type mitsubishi 5.0 Alternator if I were you.

As XR9UTE said, it will end up cheaper going to a wrecker and pulling an alternator out.

he got a brand new regulator from sprint auto parts for $65, all fixed

lucky dude - I recently had to replace the V8 NF Fairlane alternator it cost me over $500 new, but not genuine! :shock:
