ok guys ive done some research and havent had much luck. i know some time back there was a member who done a hub conversion or something along that line from EF to AU so there was no need for a adapter to fit the au and above rims etc.....

what i would like to know is what parts will i need to replace in order to do the same thing???

eg, hubs, breaks???

more info the better 8-) thanks

you have to change front hub assembly and the diff. no afaik a series 1 non irs diff will bolt into a EF. correct me if i'm wrong though. and afaik the AU front hub assembly will bolt straight in from EA-EL. yet again correct me if i'm wrong

wrong. To put AU brakes on the front you need to do a K frame swap. Also, any Live axle AU sedan diff can easily be fitted.

and what has the K-frame got to do with the brakes? they bolt onto the hub assembly

The lower ball joints are fitted the opposite way around and are not interchangeable. Also the stub axles are different.

Here's my build thread on my EL, AU front end, AU IRS. Will tell you everything you need to know.
