Hey there guys..

I have a 92 xf ute with the carby electronic ignition motor 6cyl..

I am trying to find a mechanic that still works with these motors
as many I have seen don't want to because they are carby models..

It's running rough due to a few missing vaccum lines I am guessing but also
perhaps a tune as well..

If anyone knows of a decent mechanic around logan area
that would be great..

Thanks in advance.

If you can get a hold of the Ford Workshop repair manual you can check/repair the vac lines for the emissions system using the diagrams in there.

There are a few different emission system setups depending on whether the car came with a/c or not, whether it is an auto and whether or not the car was sold in NSW. Once you figure that out the system is pretty simple from there. After rebuilding my emissions system on my old XF it even had the idle up when cold!
