Hey all, 6cyl el, was undoing the dizzy bolt, dunno what i was thinking, undid the screw the whole way, bracket falls out. Putting it back in, the dizzy slips around, didnt notice it lifting up.

Next day, fixing it after fitting the bracket back on. Wont start.

Exhaust is popping, we checked the ignition system, injectors, fixed any flooding that would have gone on with the racv dude. He reckons the dizzy was lifted when fitting up the bracket and the timing is way off (firing on the exhaust stroke or similar) hence the 'popping' through the exhaust when trying to start her up..

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

set the engine to top dead centre on cylinder 1. the timing mark on the harmonic balancer will line up to the mark on the timing cover. then set the distributor rotor button to the point so it'll line up with number one once fully in

Awesome, i will look over it tomorrow after the mechanic fixes it, got a new job tomorrow starting i Bendigo, so i got the Granny mobile :P lmao, Hyundai Getz (f**k on the quater mile)
