hey guys,
When i bought my car, (97 EL Fairmont Ghia) the douche who sold it to me removed the cruise control buttons by snipping the wires in the steering wheel and then taking the buttons out (hiding the fact that he broke them). I went to the wreckers yesterday and got some more and i have an idea of how to replace them, but not a very good one. As far as i know you unscrew the face of the wheel from the back of the wheel, and from there i will find the cruise button wires, disconnect them, and then connect the new ones. Does this sound right? What i am most worried about is buggering up the airbag, or setting it off in my face. Can someone give me a rundown on how to do this job safely? I have also recently bought a new headlight switch (the whole module) and was wondering how i go about removing the old one and installing the new one. |

Yeah you are pritty close just disconnect the battery for a few mins before hand then you should have no problem with the airbag the rest is just unscrew and unplug the old one then do the opposite putting the new one on.
