Driving along today and my car just stopped, and now turns over but wont fire. Initially i thought it would most probably be the ignition coil, but having a quick read on here it could also be the tfi module on the dizzy. Are they the most likely causes?

Could very well be. Can you get your hands on another coil or TFI? What area you in?

Check spark by pulling lead and holding 10mm off good earth and crank engine..[Two people]
Then check fuses .. The internal light, radio fuse and fuel pump..
Then check if there fuel pressure in the fuel rail etc...
Being a V8 it should have a Schroeder valve on the fuel rail.. Just press it carefully to check fuel pressure...
Check all battery connections ?? Including earths..
Suspect relay if all else doesn't work...

Checked for spark and it has none, so i would say it must be either coil or tfi.

tfi was the culprit.
